FM tuner and amplifier

I needed a small FM tuner and amplifier for my desk. There was nothing on the market that met my needs, so I made my own.

The Tuner

• FM receiver module using the Airoha AR1010
• PIC 16F877 microcontroler
• 24x2 vacuum fluorescent display (I upgraded from a regular LCD module)
• 38 KHz IR Detector

The Amplifier

Based on the Tripath TA2021B amplifier chip. The board came from 41hz Audio as a kit. I am very impressed with its sound quality, efficiency and size. Cost: $30.
